What’s It All About [Alfie]?

Hello fellow theatre lovers!

My name is Megan Fellows and I am a London/Buckinghamshire based playwright trying to make it in the big bad world of theatre. Whilst the stage is my main passion I also dabble in writing for both television and film.

This blog is a culmination of theatre reviews, details of my own personal projects and general snippets and posts about my ‘fun and frolics’ in the wonderful world of theatre.

Cue Instagram photos of theatre tickets, Edinburgh Fringe selfies and honest reviews on performances I see.

Bio: Megan is a graduate from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama having completed her MA course in Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media in 2015. Since leaving RCSSD she has had work produced in numerous new writing events: from ‘A Foot In The Door’ at The Arts Theatre; ‘Herstory Feminist Theatre Festival’ at Theatre N16; and ‘The PRT Summer Shorts’ at The Orlando Shakespeare Center, Florida to name just a few.

Her full-length play ‘TELO’ was longlisted for both the BBC Scriptroom 10 and the Verity Bargate Award 2017 and was subsequently performed at the RADA Festival 2017. Her full-length play ‘Homo Superior’ was longlisted in the BBC Scriptroom Drama 2018, reaching the top 3.4% of 3845 submissions. It was also shortlisted for the Theatre Royal Haymarket’s Masterclass ‘Pitch Your Play 2018’ opportunity. ‘Homo Superior’ received a rehearsed reading at the Tristan Bates Theatre in December 2017 as part of the ‘12 Days of Christmas’ Festival and also received a short run in the Catalyst Festival 2018, part of the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts showcase.
